What do I need to do to get my property rent ready?

  • To get your property rent ready ensure it meets minimum standards including deadlocks on all entry doors, locks on all windows.
  • Have relevant trades conduct legislative safety checks including gas, electrical and smoke alarm checks prior to a new lease commencing.
  • Ensure your property has appropriate heating, is maintained and in a good working order.
  • Make contact with your insurance provider and make the change from your standard home insurance to landlord insurance.
  • Ensure there is no mould or dam present throughout the home in bathrooms or laundry.
  • Complete refresh tasks such as repainting, new carpeting to get the best rent yield possible for your property.
