With the tightening of restrictions for movement within Victoria due to the spike in COVID-19 cases, we are reaching out to provide you with up to date information on the steps that we at Ray White Romsey are taking.
One of the most important topics for you as property owners, is the process of leasing and completing routine inspections on your investment properties.
Over the past few months, alongside our corporate team and government guidelines, we have streamlined our processes to ensure your properties are cared for with the same diligence and attention to detail as they had been prior to the outbreak of COVID-19.
Throughout the leasing process, we ensure that all government guidelines are adhered too. This includes social distancing at our private and open for inspections, information is collected of all attendees and complete sanitisation of attendees, staff and surfaces touched within the property. Whilst on the property, guests are asked to refrain from touching any surfaces and all door handles and touch points are sanitised between guests and upon our departure from the property.
Appropriate social distancing is also adhered to where there is any interaction between ourselves and your tenants or tradesmen. Our tradesmen are asked to practice social distancing and sanitising of both themselves and touchpoints within the properties that they attend.
Lastly, and of high importance, is the matter of routine inspections.
This has been a controversial topic within the real estate sphere.
Here at Ray White Romsey, we are undertaking our routine inspections through the form of a virtual inspection. This involves the tenant completing a photographic and written report, demonstrating the current condition of the property and any areas of concern. This report allows any issues to be reported and a visual representation made available for both yours and our viewing. Once these reports are collected from the tenants, they will be sent to our property owners and we are sure many of you have already received these reports!
‘In person’ routine inspections will resume once it is deemed safe, by Ray White Corporate, to do so.
